SCOSCHE passPORT Not Working? IT’S FIXED NOW!!!! Maybe…

Depending on which connector you have for your iPod, the Passport may or may not work. I have a Pioneer head unit with a CD-i200 adapter. This adapter is listed as NOT compatible with the Passport. I have found a fix for the incompatibility at least when dealing with this particular adapter. It may work with other units and adapters as well. Here is how I got the Passport to work.

1. Turn off your radio and put the iPod into sleep mode.
2. Connect the passport into the iPod.
3. Now connect the iPod adapter slowly and only halfway into the Passports adapter port. Keep it there for now.
4. Your radio and iPod should turn themselves on after a second or two. You should see the charging symbol come up on the iPods battery meter and all controls are working.
5. At this point you can finish inserting the iPod adapter fully into the passport

The one problem with this solution is that once you turn your car off or turn the radio off you will have to follow these steps again to get the iPod charging once more. It’s a hassle, but it works.

New Victorinox Swisstool RS

Got a new multi-tool. This thing is really nice. I may like it better than I do my Leatherman Wave. It feels more solid than the Leatherman does, but does not have the outside opening knives. Both multi-tools are great and I would recommend either one of them to anyone. Be like me and get both, that way you don’t have to decide.

Thousands of Zune portable media players made by Microsoft Corp. suddenly froze up early Wednesday, Dec. 31, labeling Internet wits to label the phenomenon “Z2K.”

The model affected was the Zune 30, which sports a 30-gigabyte hard drive and was first released in November 2006, though it is still sold.

Paypal Fixed the Problem!

In my last post, I stated that Paypal had taken my money and would not fixed the situation. Things have changed now. I do have to say that it was not Paypal’s kindness to me that reversed their decision about my money. I had to do the work and fix the problems.

I will not be so quick to use Paypal from this day forward. What other alternatives do we have? There is Google Checkout. I have never used their service.

Any suggestions?

Paypal Sucks!

I’m having problems with Paypal. Before you say “So have I”, I want to say that I have had problems before as well. Just nothing on this level. I recently sold a laptop computer on eBay. The buyer disputed the sale and sent the package back to me. After opening the package, I realize that the computer I sent the buyer is not the computer they sent me back.

Paypal will do nothing to help. They tell me that there is no way to know what has happened since they don’t see the items before or after they are sent. After reading on several forums, it is clear that Paypal does not stand behind the sellers on eBay at all. You are completely on your own.

I hope I will get this settled. I have a lot of money riding on this and do not want to loose it. If anyone has any suggestions, please let me know.

Amazon.com is Outstanding!

I have dealt with Amazon.com for many years now. Any time there is a problem, they have gone out of their way to get it fixed. The people I talk to over the phone are outstanding and as nice as one could expect. I have spent more money than I would like to think about with them and will continue to.

I just wanted to point this out since I am currently have problems with buy.com.

I purchased two items from buy.com the other day. They only sent me one of the items. No big deal I say to myself. I email and ask that they send the rest of my order. They then write me back and state that they have denied my request. Unbelievable.

I will be getting my money back. I guarantee you that.
